Celebrex, a pain reliever, is no longer available at the pharmacy in many states. However, if you’re considering the drug’s use, remember that it’s a prescription drug. And that’s exactly what we’re doing with this new study from the Philippine government.
This study, conducted by researchers at the University of the Philippines, found that those who took the drug Celebrex had lower levels of inflammation and pain in the brain than those who were not. They also found that those who took the drug for more than two years had a lower level of inflammation in their brains, and that they had better overall outcomes, even though they were still more likely to have low levels of inflammation.
The study was published in the July-August issue of the International Journal of Clinical Psychiatry. It’s a bit more complicated than that. But because the study focused on a sample of more than 10,000 Filipino adults, it’s really more complicated than that. And while the researchers did show that those taking Celebrex had lower levels of inflammation and pain than those who were not, the researchers also found that they were still more likely to have low levels of inflammation and pain.
“We don’t know if this is true for people who take the drug for two years, even though that’s the usual use,” said Dr. Anthony T. Cappolli, a urologist at the Medical College of Mount Sinai in San Diego, who was not involved in the study.
“If you look at the numbers, they were lower than people who were not taking the drug for two years,” he said. “This means that if you take the drug for two years, you’re likely to be less likely to have low levels of inflammation in your brain. And if you take it for more than two years, you’re likely to have low levels of inflammation in your brain.”
This is the second study to examine the impact of using a drug to help reduce inflammation and pain. In 2004, a study of people with mild to moderate pain reported that those taking a pain medication, or aspirin, had lower levels of inflammation and pain than those not taking the drug. The researchers noted that the drugs they had taken for over two years had a lower level of inflammation and pain than those who were not taking the drug.
“It’s important to note that the data on the impact of taking drugs for pain on the inflammation and pain level of the brain, is limited,” Dr. Cappolli said.
“If you look at the numbers, they were lower than people who were not taking the drug for two years, even though they were still more likely to have low levels of inflammation and pain. This could be an indication of why the drugs were different in terms of how much they affected the people in the study. Celebrex 100mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Celecoxib.
